Fire Hydrant Tap
This tap was made from a real fire hydrant and weighs around 200 lbs.
The old hydrant was cleaned and any loose paint removed, then it was repainted and all the rusty hardware was replaced with new bits.
A brass plumbing cleanout cover was drilled to fit a tap handle. The cleanout cover screws onto a PVC end piece, which is held into the main opening of the hydrant by internal set screws.
This photo is a bit dated, as we have since added a second tap out the left opening.
